I read somewhere you like feedback for upcoming books, that said have you considered a rogue group of vipers, the ones that go nuts attacking fleets of the merkiarri in space flying an emp ship that rages in pulsing the fleet then popping vipers like spores to savage the fleet with the rage and ferocity of the reavers from joss whedons firefly series. Men barely hanging on to sanity, their psychosis augmenting the viper tech to create bigger self repairing savages that visit the same type of destruction onto the merkiarri as in the early wars, as I hope we will soon be going onto the offensive and all casualties will be merkiarri. These may be a good yet dangerous weapon provided all allies clear the area as these rage machines, humans twisted to mech-men feared by all and 3-5 times more destructive as a viper.
